Become an alpha tester

What you get

• Unlimited pick recommendations. No per-day cap — the free tier already covers a draft a day; testers are uncapped.
• Direct line to the maintainer in Discord. Bug reports, feature requests, and “the model recommended X but Y was clearly better” all land in #alpha-feedback.
• First look at new sets the day they go live — recommendations come online within ~24 hours of a set’s release, served by the cross-set model, which scores a brand-new pack against a graph of the whole set.
• Influence over what we build. Tester suggestions in Discord directly shape the next release.

Monthly drafting contest

Every month, six entrants each win five booster packs in a random draw — everyone with at least one completed draft that month is entered, on any tier including the free one. The Grand Prize, a sealed Magic: The Gathering Play Booster box, goes to the Alpha tester or Pro subscriber with the most completed drafts. No purchase necessary; prizes ship to the US and Canada, and to other countries where sealed product can be delivered through a local retailer.

To enter, link your Discordon your account page and keep “Share gameplay data” on — completed drafts are counted from what the overlay shares, so with it off nothing counts — then draft with Draft Sense running. Standings update live on the leaderboard.

What we ask

• A free Draft Sense account. Sign-in is how we know it’s you and apply the unlimited cap.
• Gameplay data collection enabled. Your drafts (pack contents, picks, final deck) go into the anonymized training corpus that retrains the model for the next set. Toggle on the account page after sign-in; off-by-default for everyone else.
• Join the Discord. Invite link — this is where feedback flows and where you’ll see other testers raise the same things.
• Draft at least once a week in Magic: The Gathering – Arena with Draft Sense making recommendations. A couple quiet weeks is fine; months of inactivity will free the slot for someone else.
• Tell us what works and what doesn’t. One sentence in #alpha-feedbackafter a session is plenty — we don’t need essays.

How it works

• Click Applyabove. We’ll auto-fill what we can; you fill in a couple short questions.
• We review within ~7 days — usually faster.
• You hear back via email at the address on your account.
• If accepted, the unlimited cap takes effect immediately on your next draft pick — no further action needed.
• If denied, you can re-apply after 30 days. We say why so a follow-up makes sense.
